What Are Power Kids Club Kids Club & Teens Club?

At Power Kids Club, we believe that everyone deserves a place to have fun, make friends, explore their interests, and feel supported. Our Kids Club and Teens programs are enrichment classes designed for individuals of all abilities, with a special focus on art, yoga, socialization, movement, and FUN! Both programs provide a supportive group environment where members can spend time with peers while participating in activities that are individualized to meet them where they are.

A Class Designed for Fun & Connection

Kids Club and Teens are not traditional academic classes. The emphasis is on having fun, building relationships, trying new things, and enjoying time with peers. Each class combines art and yoga activities with opportunities to socialize and participate in a structured group setting. Activities can be adapted based on the needs, interests, and abilities of the members in the group. Our goal is simple: create a place where members can be themselves, participate at their own level, and have a great time.

Art, Yoga & Movement

Every class includes a combination of creative art activities and yoga/movement. Art gives members an opportunity to express themselves, explore different materials, and create something they can be proud of. Yoga and movement activities provide opportunities to move, stretch, and practice body awareness in a fun and accessible way. Activities may be modified or adapted so that members can participate in ways that work best for them.

Socialization With Peers

An important part of Kids Club and Teens is the opportunity to spend time with friends and build connections. Members participate in activities together, work alongside their peers, and have opportunities to practice social communication and group participation in a natural, supportive environment. The focus isn't on being perfect or completing an activity in a certain way. It's about being part of the group, having fun, and creating positive experiences with peers.

Power Kids Club classes are run by professionals and staff with experience supporting individuals with a variety of learning and developmental needs. Our team may include:

  • Special Education Teachers

  • Occupational Therapists (OTs)

  • Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)

  • School Psychologists / Social Workers

  • Special Education Teaching Assistants

Having professionals with different areas of expertise allows us to create an environment that is supportive, flexible, and responsive to the needs of our members.

Individualized Support for Every Member

Every individual is different, which is why our classes are designed to meet members where they are. Sensory items and activities are available throughout the class to provide opportunities for sensory breaks and regulation when needed. Members may take a break, use a sensory item, participate in a different way, or receive additional support based on what works best for them. Our goal is to create a welcoming environment where members can participate without feeling pressured to fit into a one-size-fits-all approach.
