Empowering Minds: The Benefits of Learning Robotics with Sphero indi at Power Kids Club
Join Robotics Fall 2025!
At Power Kids Club, we’re excited to continue our Empowering Minds Enrichment Series this Fall with Part 2, focusing on robotics and coding through the innovative Sphero indi. Building on what we explored last spring, this class series offers students of all abilities a hands-on, engaging way to develop essential STEM skills in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Why Sphero indi? Simple Robotics for All Learners
Sphero indi is a small, programmable robot designed for learners at various levels—from beginners to advanced coders. Its user-friendly interface introduces simple coding concepts in a fun and interactive way, making robotics accessible to everyone.
With Sphero indi, students learn by doing: coding commands to make the robot move, respond, and complete challenges. This approach helps develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity. Plus, because Sphero indi uses block-based coding, learners can visually build commands, making coding more accessible to learners of all abilities.
Inclusive Learning: Differentiated Instruction at Power Kids Club
At Power Kids Club, we believe every learner deserves the chance to thrive. That’s why our robotics classes use differentiated instruction strategies to meet each student’s unique needs. Whether a student requires additional support, prefers a faster pace, or benefits from hands-on guidance, our instructors tailor lessons to ensure all participants can engage meaningfully.
Our inclusive approach fosters confidence, encourages collaboration, and helps build valuable social and communication skills alongside fun and interactive lessons. The result? Students of all abilities discover they can succeed in STEM and robotics, unlocking new passions and potential.
Skills Students Develop in Our Robotics Program
Our Sphero indi classes target a broad range of skills, including:
Coding fundamentals: Logical sequencing, debugging, and computational thinking
Problem-solving: Planning, experimenting, and adapting strategies
Fine motor skills: Precision in programming and robot control
Collaboration: Working in teams to complete challenges
Creativity: Designing unique solutions and experimenting with coding
Confidence: Building resilience through trial, error, and success
Enrollment Now Open for Fall 2025 Classes
We offer two age-specific robotics classes this fall to best support learners at every stage:
Lower Age Class: Thursdays, 5:20 PM – 6:35 PM for elementary and middle school students
Upper Age Class: Saturdays, 11:45 AM – 1:00 PM for high school students and older members
Both classes provide a learning environment where students can continue building on last spring’s lessons or join fresh and start their robotics journey with Sphero indi.
