At Power Kids Club Connect, we believe that every person has the potential to be a leader, an advocate, and a positive force in their community. That’s why we’re proud to introduce a new, inclusive class designed for individuals of all abilities—one that fosters understanding of civics, encourages community connection, and inspires real-world action.
Learning How the World Works—And How to Make a Difference
This unique class, offered Monday afternoons, explores how our government functions, why civic engagement matters, and how young people—regardless of background or ability—can actively participate in their communities. With a focus on accessibility, encouragement, and individual strengths, we use a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students are supported and empowered to engage.
Participants will discover:
How laws are made and who makes them
What local government does and how it impacts daily life
The power of voting, advocacy, and active citizenship
Real ways to get involved in causes they care about
How to lead with kindness through charitable and philanthropic action
Philanthropy with Purpose
A key element of the class is its philanthropic component. Members will collaborate on a cause they care about and take part in a charitable initiative—giving back through fundraising, awareness projects, or acts of service. This hands-on approach teaches empathy, teamwork, and the joy of helping others, all while honoring each participant’s unique contributions and capabilities.
Flexible Enrollment Options
To accommodate a range of family needs and schedules, we offer this class at a full-term rate of $440 or a drop-in rate of $60 per session. Every student, whether they join for a term or a single class, is welcomed as a valued member of our community.
